Beneficiaries
In 2024, funds raised will go toward our scholarship fund, which will provide individuals with lift tickets and gear rental if they are not financially able to do so. Winter is hard in Montana when you cannot afford to get out and enjoy it and we want to help.
Proceeds will also be distributed to local non-profit oragnizations that help provide access to mental health and/or outdoor recreation opportunities.
Proceeds from our inaugural fundraising event in 2023 were distributed among the following beneficiaries.
Suffer Out Loud
Suffer Out Loud is a Bozeman-based non-profit, serving statewide, committed to reducing suicide rates by working with the community to destigmatize mental health, breaking down barriers to mental health care access, and connecting Montanans to the resources they need and deserve. We do this through our mental health care scholarships (which open on the 3rd Friday of every month), monthly community workshops that provide a safe space to discuss mental health struggles and celebrate self-care, and free resource distribution including crisis resources. For the last 30 years, Montana has ranked top 5 for suicides in the nation. Nobody should have to suffer in silence. Everyone deserves the help they need because mental health is health.
Help Center, Inc.
Serving clients in Southwest Montana, Help Center, Inc. provides crisis counseling, advocacy, information, outreach, and support to clientele in a safe, confidential environment. The intent is to assist clients in gaining insight, clarity, empowerment, client centered solutions and life improvement in the wake of life’s difficulties and in the aftermath of traumatic events.
Bridger Ski Foundation
Bridger Ski Foundation (BSF) is a nonprofit community ski organization based in Bozeman, Montana. We provide and fund educational and competitive programs for all ages, year round, in Nordic, Alpine, Freeskiing, Freestyle, Freeride, and Snowboarding. BSF also grooms an incredible network of community Nordic ski trails for the public in Bozeman.
Our programs and trails are open to everyone, and we strive to keep skiing affordable through fundraising, scholarships, financial aid, open trail access, and equipment assistance. In 2015, BSF became a Gold Certified Club, the highest recognition given by U.S. Ski & Snowboard; in 2019, they once again earned that designation through the recertification process.
